The Park Division staff will be very busy in 2008 updating facilities to increase recreation opportunities and conveniences for the citizens of Cedar Falls:

Thanks to a generous grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association, bollard lighting will be installed adjacent to the recreation trail in Gateway Park.

The largest project that will be constructed will be the new RV campground located at the NE corner of Big Woods Lake. This cooperative project with Black Hawk County will include RV camp spaces, two cabins, shower and restroom facilities, electric and water hookups as well as wireless internet capability.

Four annual fish stockings will occur at Prairie Lakes Park.

Additional street trees will be planted around the community and in the Industrial Park.

Various parking lot and driveways will be seal coated to improve the driving surfaces.
