Public Parking

The City of Cedar Falls provides two free hours of parking on designated streets and in the five Municipal Parking Lots in the Downtown area.

There is also free parking In the College Hill area on portions of College and 23rd Streets and in Municipal Lot G for the amount of time posted for each area.  A metered lot is located at 22nd and College Street.

Parking Permits

Parking Permits may be purchased for unlimited parking in Municipal lots at a cost of $15 per month.  Permits may be purchased at City Hall, 220 Clay Street, or at University Book & Supply, 1009 West Twenty-third Street.

Parking Enforcement

It is the responsibility of parking enforcement staff to enforce parking ordinances for the City of Cedar Falls.

How to Pay a Parking Citation

Mailing Payments 

Parking Citation payments can be mailed using the yellow envelopes provided with the ticket.  To avoid late fees, adequate time should be allowed for payment processing.  Responsibility for proof of payment rests with the violator.  Do not mail cash.

Drop-off Locations 

Payments may also be dropped into the fine boxes located in the lobby of City Hall, 220 Clay Street, or inside University Book & Supply, 1009 W. 23rd Street.  Responsibility for proof of payment rests with the violator and cash payments are discouraged.
